NRG

eVgo Project

The Goal

NRG's company eVgo wanted to create a print campaign to talk up its amazing technology at its electrical vehicle charging stations.

The Solution

I travelled to San Diego and worked with Fat Tony to produce a series of photographs showing all the features. This photoshoot included several different vehicles and the station itself. It was featured on the back cover of Charged Magazine.

NRG: Petra Nova

The Goal

NRG needed concepts and materials for their groundbreaking event for a new one of a kind project. When completed in 2016, it will be the world’s largest post-combustion carbon-capture project. The project will create a new carbon capture facility on their existing coal burning site at WA Parish and the CO2 will be used in enhanced oil recovery to fund the project.

The Solution

We wanted to have a fun and engaging way to show this amazing process thats going to capture up to 90% of the CO2 from one of their coal burning stacks. So, we paired with Andrew Baker to make some fun illustrations to explain the process and promote it. Using the bright colors of NRG we created fun diagrams and illustrations that help guide viewers to understanding this complex system.

One of the more unique pieces to this project was getting to give the VIP guests engraved bottles of Ferro Fluid. This magnetic liquid responds to magnetic fields showing them in beautiful geometric patterns. The liquid appears to go from a solid to a liquid with the use of a magnet. It was a perfect illustration of the hard coal being used to carbonate oil reserves.
